Edit biography

Skaly (they/them) is an independent artist from Israel and London based. They’re a composer, arranger, singer/songwriter, producer and spoken word poet. Their music, visuals and spoken word poetry are a mix of gentle sadness and blunt honesty with positivity and hope, inspired by metaphysics and mostly written about their experiences with trauma, neurodiversity, relationships and gender while calling for climate action.

On their live show:
“Skaly’s vocal style seems inspired by art pop royalty Björk, mainly due to her a huge range of pitch but also in her deep, emotional deliverance.” – Doug Phillips, LDN Magazine

On 'Like a Stranger':
“You can feel the confident power in her voice. I’m obsessed with you Skaly. Obsessed.” - Larry Flick (Bilabord former editor, Sirius XM radio host)

On 'Get Well Soon':
"An incredible first single." - Alex Wharton (Abbey Road Studios)

On 'Vincent':
"It’s a stripped back and raw performance which allows you to examine Skaly and the range of her talents – which seem pretty boundless at the moment." - Indie Midlands

When listening you may hear the influences of FKA Twigs, Björk, Tom Odell, Kate Bush, Billie Eilish, Ólafur Arnalds, Lorde, Regina Spektor and James Blake.
