He Fired First is a high-octane folk punk trio known for their barnstorming live shows, blending raw energy with heartfelt songwriting and a rebellious edge. Fronted by Will on lead vocals, guitar, and stomp box, the band also features Dom with his unmistakably bouncy upright bass style, and Nick—formerly of folk punk band Smokey Bastard—on mandolin, accordion, bouzouki, and backing vocals.

Originally launched as Will’s solo project, He Fired First built a solid foundation supporting acts like the Dub Pistols, Gaz Brookfield, and Owen Paul, while earning spots on major festival lineups including Boomtown 2024, Guilfest 2022 and 2024, and Weyfest 2023.

The current lineup was brought together through country singer-songwriter Nicole Allen, whose introduction sparked a unique musical chemistry that turned the solo project into a full-force band. While they most often perform as a trio, He Fired First sometimes appears as a duo or with Will playing solo—no matter the lineup, the show is always charged with undeniable energy, emotion, and a powerful connection to the crowd.
