About

Edit biography

Ed Boxall is a Hastings-based singer-songwriter, performer, artist, and author whose work flows between music, visual art, and storytelling. Ed writes story-driven songs, placing the craft of songwriting at the core of his music—each lyric is carefully shaped to bring stories to life. After many years performing, he has now signed an LP deal with End of The Trail Records, with 'The High Far Fields of Home' as the first single from that LP.
Ed's music is inspired by the classic timeless '60s acts such as The Kinks, The Beatles, Donovan, Joni Mitchell and Dylan. He plays his own songs, along with the songs by these artists who have inspired him.

Some praise for Ed's song 'The High Far Fields of Home' :
"It's really good...reminds me of Robert Wyatt"
Emma Anderson (Lush)
“Soaring melancholy and powerful wistfulness...a fab song.”
David Quantick
"A heartwarming new song that leads one from restlessness to optimism by way of a gently eartickling melody line - very much in tune with life's current uncertainties"
Paul Lewis (composer of music for classic TV- Dr Who, The Avengers, Tales of the Unexpected etc)

…engaging lyrics, passionate performances and a thoughtful arrangement.
