He Fired First is an award winning (Best Band GSMC awards 2026) high-octane folk punk collective known for their barnstorming live shows, blending raw energy with heartfelt songwriting and a rebellious edge. Fronted by Will Samson on lead vocals, guitar, and stomp box, the band also features Dom Gearghty on double bass, Gary Millard on percussion and backing vocals, Abbie Shultz on fiddle and Paul Hancock on pipes and whistles.

Originally launched as Will’s solo project, He Fired First built a solid foundation supporting acts like the Dub Pistols, Gaz Brookfield, and Owen Paul, while earning spots on major festival lineups including Boomtown 2024, Guilfest 2022 and 2024, and Weyfest 2023.
